While I may have space in my life for new casual and significant partners, I don’t really expect to find one here. While I am receptive to meeting new people in person, I have very little patience for finding personal relationships online. Easily amused, and just as easily bored, I juggle between ‘Real Life’ and trying to have one. Meowzers! What a concept! I love to explore the inner depths of myself, the world, and the people in it. I’m drawn to all things exotic and mysterious…. with an extra delight in that which is taboo. An extrovert and introvert rolled into one, I’m a mixture of serious and silly… totally unpredictable, I guess I’m both!

Facts & Furballs: Bi Poly* Kinky 29/F on the prowl for like-minded people with similar interests and values to establish friendships and possibly more. I joined OKC shortly after moving back to New York last year in the hopes of finding new local friends. I’m seeking real-life (not online) friendships with the possibility of more. On the Prowl: My interests vary from the mundane to the profane. To name a few: The arts (Art/Music/Theatre), Theology/Philosophy (especially Zen Buddhism), Cultures (I’m an anthropologist at heart), Astrology, health-conscious living (i.e. running, yoga/pilates, working out, mindful living), Passionate about several causes (environmental protection, animal cruelty, equal human, LGBTQ, & womens reproductive rights), Horseback riding, Dancing (especially togypsy/hindi and latin/reggaeton beats, but basically love any excuse to shake my ass), Renaissance Faires, just about anything Outdoorsy, i.e. hiking, camping, sailing, and canoeing, Love to play games (Board Games, D&D, MMORPGs, & console games, especially party games like DDR and Guitar Hero!- although I rarely get to play any of them), Bibliophile(even though I rarely get to read for leisure these days), Anime, Comics, and just about anything Kinky. I’m “try-sexual” and have pretty much tried (or would be open to trying) everything… I’m VERY open-minded, and I try not to exclude experiences just because they’re different or out of the norm… basically, if it harms none, I’ll give it a whirl.

I don’t smoke and rarely drink unless I’m in a social environment and don’t need to drive. I’m pretty darn random enough without needing something to alter my senses… but, every now and again I’ll mix things up a bit.

My ultimate goal is to become a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner working in the Alternative Lifestyle Communities- but that’s a few years away. I recently completed the last of the general curriculum at Nassau Community College and am hoping to attend NYU’s School of Nursing in the Spring. Until then, I live here on the island and work at a local hospital. My current position is on the weekends which makes for a pretty nonexistent social life, but such is life. I’m hoping to transfer to another position soon, so hopefully I’ll be able to have my weekends back! ;)

In the meantime, I divvy my free time between a few fun activities, hanging with friends, and going out to events. Call me crazy, but I prefer to spend my free time out and about rather than in front of a computer- I actually like seeing people, as opposed to just chatting. LOL :P

I’m one of those overzealous and stubborn overachievers who is always trying to learn something…

I try not to take myself or life too seriously (I think I laugh AT myself more than anything else)… and I’m almost always making the most of a situation. I guess you could say I’m really good at “Making lemonade out of life’s lemons”…

Oh, and my other super amazing talent is… I can fit just about anything in any space. You should see how I pack! I’m spatially special. LOL

So, yeah… as I said, I’m really good at being a tart! LOL

… is that I’ve got more energy than I know what to do with. I’m excitable, engaging, and just silly. I can be incredibly brilliant (and incredibly daft, too)… but, people usually just see the perkiness first. As my friend Dee once said, “I talk like my mouth is on fast forward and my brain is on rewind.” LOL

Basically, I love life… and it shows! ;)

Favorite Foods: As with everything else, I like anything that is “different.” I especially love exotic, cultural foods. My absolute favorites include: Spanish, Indian, Japanese, Italian, Ethiopian, Thai, Chinese… and I’ll try just about anything once.

NOTE: After being vegan for almost 3 years, I’m now a reluctant meateater and avoid hyperglycemic foods- although I heart Cold Stone Creamery. OMG, I can’t believe I lived without ice cream for so long! LOL I’m not a food nazi (or any other kind, for that matter)- other people’s choices are their own.

Connection, love, passion, self-expression, dreams, and learning… although I’d prefer not to live without internet access and/or my cell phone, but I could certainly give them up for a while. :)

Basically, I want the same things all people want- to love and be loved, to see and be seen, to know purpose, and have connection.

I love random conversations with people, the smiles you can create by acknowledging a persons existence, and all the simple ways to connect in this crazy, caught-up world. I love feeling connected to others and making people realize that we’re never really alone. :)

People… I’m abundantly fascinated and frustrated by humanity. As an Aquarian-Pisces Cusp, I spend most of my days yearning to have a connection with others… and it drives me bonkers that people can be so gosh darn ignorant, intolerant, inconsiderate, selfish, lazy, deceitful, manipulative, exploitive, etc. It’s really just sad…

I guess you could say… I dream a lot. I’m always wishing and hoping for things to get better for others, while I try to be content.

I try to be the change I want to see in the world… and from what my friends have told me, I do make a difference- it’s just not as far-reaching as I’d like. I guess what I need to do is develop a cloning machine… LOL

I work weekends from 8am-6pm, so I haven’t been doing much of anything on Fridays. For a while, Thursday was my Friday… but Spring and Summer have been super demanding with school. When I can break away from my studies, I head in to the city for OneTaste (www.onetaste.us), Poly-NYC meetings (www.poly-nyc.com), Pleasure Salon, go dancing at a local off-premise swingers club.

I generally can’t go into the city on weekends, so I’m always game for meeting up locally for coffee, dinner, or something fun. ;)

Hmmm… what do I hate to admit? Well, there isn’t much that I *won’t* admit- if you ask, be prepared for an honest answer.

Be LOCAL and willing to go out and do things. (I already have tons of friends in NYC and NJ that I never see because they’re too far away and/or my school/work schedule is so unforgiving. As you would imagine, I’m not eager to add to the collection of folk I can’t spend time with I’m not interested in long-distance relationships nor am I interested in relocating- be local or don’t bother.)

Be between 27 – 45, intelligent, educated, independent, no kids, and have a clue on what you want from life, i.e know what you want and be working towards it. Basically, I’m looking for someone who is my equal- and yes, someone who’s around the same age.

Be into the same stuff. If your greatest aspiration is to customize your car or be the next “Employee of the Month” at Wal-Mart, we’re not suited for each other- even as friends. I prefer to surround myself with people who share my passions and values.

Be polyamorous and/or kinky (or at least have an interest in them.) While I’m happy to show others the path I’m on and share my world, I’d prefer someone who has already walked some of their own journey alone.

Be of a healthy weight. I hate to sound superficial, but please be average to slightly chubby in weight. Let’s face it… we all know what we like and what we don’t. I like women with curves and men that aren’t too thin or too heavy.

Be looking for a companion first and foremost, and a sex partner second. I’m not on here because I can’t get sex… I’m on here because I’m looking for a decent human being (or two or three…) to spend some time with. I’m interested in creating a “connection”- not in finding someone to fuck. ALL of me- and not just my body- is worth knowing.

Be “different”. I don’t really do well with those ascribing to the “normal” persuasion. Be interesting… quirky, dorky, geeky, and other intelligent and wacky sorts definitely encouraged! ;)

Be confident and secure in yourself to be genuine. Don’t be “too cool” to be silly or whatever it is you are at that moment. As Dr. Seuss said, “Be who you are, because the ones that matter don’t mind, and the ones that mind don’t matter.”

Be open and honest. Period.

Be direct- I don’t believe in pussy-footing and/or passive-aggressive BS. Be willing and able to effectively communicate. Be able to say what you think and feel… and most importantly, be sincere when you say it.

Be a non-smoker if you intend to be kissed. There’s nothing sexy about kissing an ashtray. Been there, done that- yuck.

Be able to have a good time, be silly, and otherwise have fun while sober. As you can tell from my profile, I’m not a huge drinker… and while I don’t mind getting krunked and “altering my senses” now and again, I don’t need to be under the influence in order to have a good time. So, be past the binge drinking phase- unless it’s coffee and tea… in which case, I’ll bring my “OMG you could bathe children in there” super large cup! ;)
